Introduction

I fought for my O1-A visa with a self-funded agency. It took me almost a year to prepare because I had to change sponsors, companies, and set up multiple legal entities. In the process, I’ve connected with and picked the best immigration lawyers and dozens of O-1 visa holders, and have been given personal and professional advice to hundreds of other founders.

Although there are multiple resources online helping you prepare, my approach is simple: I want to make this guide holistic.

Who is it for? Those who seek to apply for an O1-A visa as founders or future founders.

I’ve started working together with selected founders to help them prepare for their O-1A. Many come return frustrated from an initial legal consultation call. Why? “You’re not ready yet!”, the lawyer said. “Get media coverage, judge hackathons, set up your company”. I’ve done this a few times, and am offering my Saturday mornings to help you build the profile you nee or to set up your own agency - so you can self-sponsor. I will see how much time this will take, and am mainly doing it because it’s something I care about.
